Welcome back everyone !

I am back for more exiting stuff this year. I released the video of my single intitled MBONGO ( money ) end of january 2008. The song talks about the good and bad of money but mostly about the importance ( power ) money has. Money is said to be the root of all evil and has influenced societies, choices, behaviors and so forth.

I am particularly proud of the high quality video that has caught everyone's eye. Could it be because of the amount of american dollars being thrown around? or is it the beautiful girls? or may be just me? nah .. dont think so. "laugh"

The video has gotten lots of airplay as well as lots of reactions. Opiniated music is something i enjoy. This single falls very much into that category. Who didnt have "chills" hearing me say "Meme Joseph kabila alingaka mbongo / soki batuni yo loba laval mutu alobi bongo"?

I remember my entourage fear that the song may not get played because of the statement. everything went o.k though. i am glad to noticed that there is a bit of realism in all of us. Indeed even presidents of countries love money just like everyone else. well... that is my opinion.

The sound was recorded at PSI studios of Limete/Kinshasa. You can check out footage from the recording studio in the MUSIC section exclusively on lavalt.com. The song was recorded with the help of very talented young people residing in kinshasa. This is the same group i am working with on completing the album now intitle MON PEUPLE ( my people ).

I will be in kinshasa starting first of May 2008 for the promotion of the single as well as new recordings and video shoots. I am very excited about it. I read all of your encouragements, critics and appreciations. Overall i am satisfied and cant wait to be able to perform through out the city of kinshasa as well as cross the country's border to promote my music.
